Gunmen Hold Lekki-Ikoyi Commutters Hostage. Chaos Unleashed With Sporadic Gunshots In The Air
Fresh reports reveal that there are unknown gunmen on the Lekki-Ikoyi road. The men are reportedly dressed in military uniforms and shooting sporadically.
This information broke via social media, by commuters who are actually on the road as at the time this report was prepared, looking to access the media or security forces. It is still unclear whether the gunmen are robbers or are assassins. An alleged witness Adisa Akintayo on the scene, who has been live tweeting the incidence tweeted at media personality Omojuwa that “Car to car assassination taking place. @omojuwa” he tweeted

Another tweet however speculated that a UBA bank on the Lekki road was the target of the robbers and they made their getaway using speedboats after shooting for many minutes.

Another tweeter who was allegedly on the scene said “I left my keys in the ignition and ran from the new toll gate to the Tantalizers and took a bike from there”
