800 Bags of Indian Hemp Discovered in Ondo State.

800 bags of Indian hemp has been reportedly discovered by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Ondo State yesterday.

The Narcotics agency, stormed a residential building where 800 bags of substances suspected to be Indian hemp were discovered. Two middle aged men were arrested in the house being used as a warehouse before the weed was transported to their eventual destinations.

According to reports,the building was located at a fast developing new site on Ogunleye Lane off Kolawole Estate, Olufoam Area in Akure, the state capital. The officials had a hectic time before they could pack the bags, fully loaded with the substance, out of the apartment while several residents watched in surprise.

The state commandant of the agency, Mr. Ibrahim Abdul, disclosed that two men were arrested in the building with lots of Indian hemp amounting to about 20 tones. The operation was the first major one to be carried out by the new commandant, since his assumption of office.
